DO NOT GO TO BEECH FORK STATE PARK - Be sure to use the address: 3784 Beech Fork Road, Lavalette, WV. Park at the Beech Fork Lake Visitor Center parking lot, then walk a short distance back along the road to the Rock Hollow trailhead (left from the parking lot and across the road). The trail forms a loop with a total distance of 0.7 miles. Starting counterclockwise, the swing is located approximately .15 miles from the trailhead. However, the ascent up to the swing is rather steep and may be difficult for some (this is the natural terrain of the existing trail route). Starting clockwise along the loop makes for a slightly longer hike, but the ascent is more gradual, and trail conditions are better established. Trail conditions can be muddy following rainy weather. I took the steeper route for a shorter hike, and it was STEEP, but it did get me there faster.
