WELCOME TO ALMOST HEAVEN ADVENTURES

When the Almost Heaven Swings were debuted on West Virginia Day 2022, I was immediately drawn to them and determined to visit them all. At that time, there were only 9 original swings: Cacapon Resort State Park, Hatfield-McCoy Trail/Death Rock, Charleston, Fort Boreman Scenic Overlook, Stonewall Resort, Coopers Rock, Babcock State Park, Wheeling Heritage Port and Blackwater Falls. These were created to drive tourism throughout the state, and I know that it worked for my husband and I. Announced this year that they added an additional 8 swings and removed the Fort Boreman Scenic Overlook swing (for reasons unknown) totaling the swings to 15 or 16, whichever way you want to look at it.  The 2023 additions include: Bluestone State Park, Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, East River Mountain Overlook, Grand Vue Park, Lost River State Park, Pipestem Resort State Park and Tomlinson Run State Park, Summersville Lake State Park, Canaan Valley Resort and Philipi Covered Bridge.

Rockhouse Trail 21, Chief Logan Lodge, Stephens Lake, Elk River Rail Trail, Valley Park, Olgebay, Gassaway Depot, Rotary Park, Tu Endie Wei Park, Blennerhassett Island, Snowshoe, Tamarack, Mason-Dixon Historical Park and Glade Springs.
