When arriving to Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, follow the signs to the park offices where you can either park and walk 1 mile to the lookout tower or you can drive and park right next to the swing. The swing is positioned perfectly to ensure the tower and the gorgeous view is in the background of your photo. This is a great stop for any history buff, specifically the Civil War. Along the road leading to the lookout tower are various facts about the battles that took place there and you can even check out the views from inside the tower!
