On August 6th, Govenor Jim Justice announced Summersville Lake is one of the newest Almost Heaven Swing locations AND West Virginia's newest state park. The easiest way to get to this swing is to type into your GPS directions for 'Up Yonder Drive'. When crossing Rt. 19, you'll turn right on to 'Up Yonder Drive' and follow the gravel road roughly 200 yards to the parking area on the far side of the developing property. This area will soon be the new home to an outdoor recreation area and is currently in development. Once parked, you will want to follow the gravel path to the right and you will be able to see the swing and the Summersville Lake State Park sign. The swing does not offer and views of the lake that we were able to see but I'm sure once the land is fully developed it will make for a fun pit stop.

The path leasing to an overlook is well worth the hike. I also think it splits off where you can do the overlook or go rock climbing or cliff diving
